Character Personality: Larry is very friendly, lazy, trusting, and laid back. He is known to get into a lot of trouble hence the phrase, “When something smells, it’s usually the Butz.” He tends to be a job hopper. Even though he gets into trouble, he is very trusting and loyal towards his friends. He tends to be emotional, but he won’t be afraid to show it.

Background: He has been Phoenix Wright’s childhood friend ever since grade school. He stole Edgeworth’s lunch money and got Phoenix blamed for stealing it. He stood up for Phoenix though, but years later he finally returned the lunch money to Edgeworth. He also has been known to get into trouble a lot along with taking on different jobs. One of his misfortunes was where he was accused for murdering Cindy Stone, a model and his girlfriend, and he was Phoenix ’s first client. He has also been a witness to the Robert Hammond case (PW:AA case 4) and to the Elise Deauxnim case (PW:T&T case 5). He tried changing his name to “Laurice Deauxnim” while being an artist apprentice to Elise Deauxnim.
